Social media: find public profiles and capture posts with provenance
Evidentor finds the public profiles a person is likely to hold, lets you search a known handle or email across thirty platforms, and captures any public post or profile as hashed, Bates-numbered evidence. It never logs in and never guesses a face.
Search a handle or an email
Type an @username or an email address into People search. Every platform with a public page is checked: GitHub, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Medium, Substack, Linktree, SoundCloud, Vimeo, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitch, Snapchat, Cash App, Venmo and more. Emails also check Gravatar, where people publish a profile for exactly this. Each hit shows the display name and bio from the public page, with the link and the time it was checked.
From a name to likely handles
- Run a name search, then open Social handles to check under the results.
- Press Check likely handles. Evidentor tries the patterns people use (first.last, firstlast, flast, first_last, lastfirst and so on) across the platforms.
- Open each hit before you trust it: a shared handle is often someone else. When it is your person, press Add to subject.
A handle match is a lead, not an identification. The profile's own words, photo and location decide.
Capture a public post or profile
- Open the subject and press Capture public post.
- Paste the address of the post, profile or page (TikTok video, Threads post, a public Facebook page, a news article, anything on the public web).
- A logged-out browser on Evidentor's own server visits it once. The case keeps a full-page screenshot and the page text, each encrypted, hashed and Bates-numbered, plus the title, description, author and publish time the page declares, the time of capture and who captured it.

Behind a login
Facebook, Instagram and X show logged-out visitors only a preview, or nothing. Evidentor records what a member of the public would see and marks the capture login wall. It does not sign in, use anyone's account, or bypass the platform.
What Evidentor will not do
No facial recognition and no reverse image search of faces: that is barred under biometric privacy laws in several states and regulators have acted against it. No scraping behind logins, which breaks platform terms and exposes the firm. Everything here reads public pages the same way a browser does, once, and keeps the receipt.
