Your first ten minutes: the Overview

4 MIN READ·UPDATED NOV 2026·GETTING STARTED

The Overview is the first page after sign-in. It shows what is waiting on you, your active cases by deadline, and a live feed of what the team has done.

What you see

Four numbers across the top: open cases, items triaged, evidence processed and findings accepted. Below, Active cases sorted by deadline, and the Activity feed. Every row is a link.

The Getting started path

Until a workspace has done each step once, a Getting started card lists the five moves in order: open a case, find your subjects, upload the evidence, run analysis, draft a cited report. Each step links to the page and checks itself off. Hide it with Hide when you no longer need it.

The layout, everywhere

  1. Left sidebar: the sections. Overview, Cases, Subjects, People search and Link graph; Evidence and Transcripts; Analysis, Ask Evidentor, Reports and Monitoring; Audit log and Firm settings. Counts next to each item update as you work.
  2. Top bar: the page you are on, the search box (press Ctrl K), the green Purpose chip showing which case you are working in, the help button (opens the guide for the page you are on), monitoring alerts and sign out.
  3. Workspace card at the bottom of the sidebar: how many subject profiles, audio hours and document pages the workspace holds.
  4. Your name at the very bottom opens your account: password, two-step sign-in and signed-in devices.

The purpose chip

Every search is recorded with a purpose (litigation, investigation, insurance claim, due diligence or research). The chip shows the case whose purpose will be used. Click it to open that case; change case from any page's case picker.

If the chip says No case selected, open or pick a case before searching, so the purpose is recorded correctly.
