Analysis: contradictions, defects and the timeline

6 MIN READ·UPDATED NOV 2026·ANALYSIS AND REPORTS

Run analysis and Evidentor reads every non-privileged document and transcript in the case, then compares them: contradictions, procedural defects, exculpatory points and admissions, each tied to exact quotes that are checked against the page.

Run it

  1. Open the case's Analysis tab and press Run analysis. A progress bar shows the two passes: reading each document, then comparing them.
  2. Run again whenever evidence is added. Findings you have reviewed are kept; unreviewed ones are replaced.

Read a finding

Each card has a severity, a one-line title, the facts in plain words, the quotes side by side (statement versus statement for contradictions), the page or time cited, and Why it matters. A green quote verified badge means the exact words were found on that page; quotes that cannot be verified are dropped before you ever see them.

Review

Accept a finding to make it available for reports; Dismiss what does not help. Link a finding to a subject with the picker. Accepted and dismissed findings survive the next run.

Add your own

Add finding lets you record what you spotted yourself, citing a page and quote; the quote is checked against the page the same way.

The unified timeline

The Timeline tab lays out every dated event from paper and audio in one order: statement times, dispatch, Miranda, entry, warrant, calibration, custody transfers. Each event cites its page or second. Add events by hand where the evidence is silent.
