3 MIN READ·UPDATED NOV 2026·ANALYSIS AND REPORTS

Ask a question in plain words. Evidentor answers only from the case's own evidence, transcripts, saved records and findings, and cites every claim so you can check it.

Ask

  1. Open Ask Evidentor in the sidebar, or the Ask tab inside a case.
  2. Type a question such as What did the witness say about when the truck left? and press Enter.
  3. The answer cites sources as small numbered badges. Click a badge to see the source under the answer; click the source to open the page, the second of the recording, the subject or the finding.

What it will not do

It never pulls from the internet or from other cases, never guesses, and says plainly when the case does not hold the answer and what would. Privileged files are never read. Every question is recorded in the audit log with the case purpose.

Treat answers as a fast way into the record, not as the record. The citations are there so you read the page yourself.
